Hotel Review: The Address, Dubai Marina

20090818_dmm-towerAnother day, another Address! Just a matter of weeks after rolling out The Address, Dubai Mall, The Address Dubai Marina is now open, with a similar mixture of uber-cool interior design and impressive meeting and conference facilities.

ArabianMoney.Net enjoyed an exclusive tour of the property which seemed very much bigger on the inside than it did from the outside, a bit like the adjoining Dubai Marina Mall that is also owned by Emaar Properties.

Serviced apartments

That is partly because this is not just a 200-room hotel, there are 400 serviced apartments in the same building with their own private entrance on a floor below the main reception lobby area.

These apartments are individually owned, and presumably their sale financed the rest of the hotel. Some are available for leasing. For multinational executives with companies in Jebel Ali this would be an extremely comfortable location, and the Jumeirah beach is only a short walk away.

But this is mainly a business hotel with a selection of reasonably priced restaurants also designed to cater to the densely-packed local residential community. The rooms are top-specification with minimalist decor and marble bathrooms with a view out of the window from your bathtub.

Complimentary wireless and wired Internet comes as standard throughout the hotel. There is a large and superbly equipped gym with views over the marina, and a luxurious spa. Facilities operate on a 24-hour clock as is standard at Emaar Hospitality.

The conference hall or ballroom can seat 1,000 and there are no less than 15 meeting rooms of different sizes. This area opens on to the oval-shaped infinity pool with a terrace bar and restaurant. It is all very spacious and stylish.

Restaurant options

The restaurants are being opened gradually during the soft opening period. There are multi-national cooking stations in the buffet restaurant, and a purple-table clothed French brasserie with a terrace that should open after the weekend. Bars are liberally scattered.

Anybody who likes the The Address Downtown Dubai or its newer neighbor is going to love this hotel with its fine modern standards of hospitality and state-of-the-art hotel design.

Emaar Hospitality now has three Addresses plus The Mongomerie, and The Palace in the Dubai Downtown under its management. Hotels in the south of France and Morocco are under development, so another Dubai hotel chain is going global.
